Changes in full-time equivalents (FTEs)
The average number of full-time equivalents decreased by 287 FTEs (–9.5%) compared with the previous year.
Goldbach recorded a decrease of 65 FTEs. Of these, 61 FTEs were attributable to portfolio adjustments (AdUnit, Goldvertise and Splicky), while organic staff reductions (4 FTEs) made only a minor contribution.
20 Minuten reduced its workforce by 34 FTEs in connection with the phasing-out of print and the further simplification of the organisation.
Tamedia reduced its headcount by 44 FTEs in the course of its ongoing transformation and structural adjustment to the declining print business.
Group & Ventures reduced its workforce by 144 FTEs, primarily as a result of the further decentralisation and restructuring of Group Services.
Changes in average FTEs (organic vs. inorganic)
The decrease in average full-time equivalents of 287 FTEs is made up of an organic effect of 226 FTEs and an inorganic effect of 61 FTEs.
Organic job cuts reflect the consistent implementation of the Group-wide transformation and efficiency programmes. The inorganic decline is solely attributable to the portfolio streamlining at Goldbach (AdUnit, Goldvertise and Splicky).
